Niall Smart is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at VTS. Previously, he was the co-founder and CTO at Hightower. Niall’s career in technology spans enterprise solutions, digital media and embedded devices. He loves to work with cross-discipline product teams applying their creativity, skill and energy to build industry-changing products.
Before VTS and Hightower, Niall was co-founder of Echodio, a Y-Combinator backed digital media startup that was acquired by RealNetworks in 2009. At RealNetworks, he led development of cloud media initiatives and launched their first web-based video product. Niall originally hails from Dublin, Ireland and holds a degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London. On weekends, you can find Niall cycling up inclines in Rockland County, or checking out New York’s live music scene.
