Over the last two years, I’ve spoken with many of the owners of the 80,000 buildings managed on VTS across the globe. And there’s no overstating that in the coming months and years, landlords have a bigger opportunity than ever to connect with their customers — their tenants — more closely than ever before. From those conversations, I’ve also learned that tenant experience is the critical solution for them to deliver on that opportunity as they help tenants get back into the office effectively, and enthusiastically, in this new world.

At VTS, we’ve been investing heavily in redefining this tenant experience to help landlords tackle both the operational and tenant engagement pieces of tenant experience needed to navigate this impending return to work. That said, on the tail of our acquisition of Rise Buildings, now VTS Activate, earlier this year, we’re doubling down on this investment.

I’m excited to announce that today we will officially be acquiring Lane Technologies, the workplace experience platform used by top landlords, including Brookfield, Oxford Properties Group, and Hines. With this acquisition, we’ve solidified our position as the #1 tenant experience platform in the world and can offer our customers unprecedented support in helping them navigate the “return to office”. The value our customers already receive from our platform with the new added capabilities from Lane will be more critical than ever as landlords focus on renewing existing tenants and leasing space in what will continue to be a highly competitive market.

And we’re accelerating our global expansion: this acquisition triples our presence in Canada with now over 160 Toronto-based employees.
