One App, Access Anywhere
I’m sure you’ve heard by now about how Activate is killing the keycard. And with this year’s introduction of VTS Activate Workplace, we’re taking it to the next level. With VTS Activate, Users can store multiple credentials in their Apple Wallet to unlock access at both the street and their suite, and even across buildings. The possibilities are endless to create a campus-like environment among buildings and between offices to unlock the real potential and power of everything you offer.
With access to many buildings and spaces, centralized access management is critical. No one wants to spend time navigating complicated systems every time a new tenant employee gets hired, leaves, or needs access to a particular space or building. With Activate, making changes to user access is as easy as a click. Even better, grant tenant admins permission to self-manage building access for their employees. Delegate tenant admins as much control as desired to make managing access quick and simple for everyone.
We continue to expand our library of deep, direct access control system integrations; with Activate, you get the best of both worlds — centralized access AND a consolidated tech stack.
Intuitive Visitor Experiences
With the upgraded admin invitation experience, inviting visitors has never been more intuitive. Tenant admins can now invite guests with just a few clicks without losing the advanced configurability you can expect from Activate.
New access control system integrations provide visitors with building access via the QR code on their guest passes. When a registered visitor scans their QR code, their host will automatically be notified that they’ve checked in. Guests can skip the office front desk and hosts can rest assured that their visitor has building access.
In addition to visitor access, here's a few new features to streamline visitor management for everyone.
- The Dymo printer integration makes it simple for clerks and security staff to print a physical visitor pass directly through Activate.
- In addition to email notifications, hosts now receive a push notification when a visitor checks in so they’re ready to greet their guest.
Configurable Property Operations
From work orders and preventive maintenance to invoices and communications, your teams view and manage building operations all in one simple, powerful app. What sets Activate apart is its configurability — it’s as simple or powerful as you need it to be, so your tech adapts to your building, and your building doesn’t adapt to fit your tech. Our new operations features build upon Activate’s configurability to give you even more control and flexibility.
Activate gives you the control to create functionality-based permissions that are right for your building and teams. You decide which teams have permission to view, create, edit, or delete practically anything in your app. While permissions might seem like a minor element, the impact of configuration is enormous, and the possibilities are endless to make sure the right teams have the right tools.
We’ve also added new features to enable and empower your operations teams.
- Configure interactive steps: Guide staff through completing maintenance tasks with interactive schedule steps to increase operations efficiency
- Configure meter readings: Configure meter readings, trigger escalation notifications, and view meter reading trends in your building’s operations command center
- More configurable notifications, including push notifications: Trigger push notifications and have more control to configure alerts to your needs, including enhanced service request escalation alerts
Simple Billing and Payments
Building upon the features included in Activate’s spring ‘24 release (you can watch me cover it on-demand here), we’ve added new billing and payments features to streamline your operations and increase NOI for your offerings.
First, let’s cover what’s new for the product catalog, which allows you to curate a list of billable items, materials, and other services, and add them to a charge or invoice to collect payment. Now, creating content with payments enabled just got easier by associating content with items in your catalog. When creating content, search for and add a product or service set up in your catalog to the content. Property teams not only save time and no longer need to localize pricing across regions, but also get better visibility into tenants' purchases.
Activate’s new subscriptions feature opens the door for more revenue generating offerings with recurring charges and invoices. Building admins can set up flexible billing cycles (weekly, monthly, or annually) and include various products and services. Plus, automated email notifications keep tenants informed about invoices for the recurring value they receive. Subscriptions are perfect for use cases like gym memberships, locker rentals, bike spot rentals, and maintenance fees, and subscriptions streamline your team's processes every step of the way.
Lastly, coming soon, users can complete purchases with Apple Pay for a quick and simple payment experience.
Strengthen Your Community
Creating a sense of community with tenants is no small task, but there's no need for it to be unnecessarily complicated. That's why we've strengthened our community and engagement features to make it easier to get the right message to your tenants. Our new dynamic section enhancements allow you to pin and organize your content with ease so tenants can easily find key content. They can also filter events by date and find relevant events based on when they'll be in the office. Plus, you can use dynamic sections to group similar content using custom tags. This improves analytic reporting and enhances content discoverability so end-users can search for content that's relevant to them.
Actionable Insights → Increase Renewal and Expansion Probability
With retention continuing to be a focus, understanding tenants, their workplace strategy, and ultimately their sentiment is incredibly powerful for owners and operators. With a new pre-populated tenant admin sentiment survey, now in limited availability, you can easily understand this critical audience, their needs, and their satisfaction.
Feedback and results from the sentiment survey are populated in-app — this is an incredibly powerful tool to understand tenants, ensure their needs are met, and create proactive strategies to increase their sentiment to influence a renewal.
For our customers with properties or offices across the globe, we’ve updated our analytics dashboards to make it easier for teams to review data across time zones. All data, insights, and reports now populate based on the time zone where the property is located (instead of where the admin viewing the data is located). This way, property teams can view cohesive dashboard analytics no matter where they are.
On the operations front, we’ve made our work order billing report more flexible to meet your needs. Quickly see charges, their status, charge codes, and filter details. Plus, you can download a CSV to take it to the next level.
We’d love to show you more about what’s new to activate every tenant, space, and team. Reach out to get a free demo.
